THE MEEK SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH

Where will we live in eternity? Will it be heaven or will it be earth? Here is what the sweet Psalmist of Israel said: You are My Son; this day (I declare) I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I WILL GIVE YOU THE NATIONS as YOUR INHERITANCE, and the UTTERMOST PARTS OF THE EARTH FOR YOUR POSSESSION. You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like potter's ware" (Amplified Bible).

Jesus himself said: The meek shall inherit THE EARTH" (Matthew 5:5). He did not say the meek shall inherit HEAVEN, he said the meek shall inherit the EARTH. This is our abode and has been since Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. The only place heaven will be found is inside of you.

In the words of the prophecies of the Book of Revelation, John was shown by the Lord what we should be and where we should reign. "And he that overcometh, and keepeth My works unto the end, to him will I give POWER OVER THE NATIONS: and he (sons of God) shall RULE THEM with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of My Father" (Revelation 2:26-27). Again, "To him that overcometh will I grant to SIT WITH ME IN MY THRONE, even as I also overcame, and am set down with My Father in His throne" (Revelation 3:21). And then with transfixed eyes John beheld in wonder as the four living creatures (kings) and the twenty four elders (priests) fell down before the Lamb and sung a new song, saying, "Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by Thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; and hast made us unto our God KINGS AND PRIESTS: AND WE SHALL REIGN OVER THE EARTH" (Revelation 5:9-10). And, if that were not enough, he said, And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all Nations with a rod of iron: (Revelation 12:5a).

Can one not see that our domain is not in some celestial planet in outer space. Our domain is here on this planet, Planet Earth. The heavens are the Lord's heavens, but the earth he has given to the sons of men. (Psalms 115:16) As sons of God, we should be exercising our responsibility and authority as Kings and Priests, be as Ambassadors to the NATIONS, and make disciples of them all. We must go beyond salvation and the elementary principles of the doctrines of Christ, and go on to perfection. By taking the mantle and anointing of our Lord as Kings, Priests, Prophets, and Judges, we should go forth to the nations to turn them to righteousness. God knows, we are way past due. If one could see that Jesus wants all the world to be saved beginning at the top, we then could subdue these nations to Christ by teaching them about the Kingdom of God. There has never been a government in this world that has been successful in over 6,000 years to make lasting change, yet Jesus came proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom over 2,000 years ago, and it has advanced only a little in a few people. Why is that? Because, the world does not want to submit to the Lordship of Christ, and are busy about making their own little kingdoms of which all have failed. Oh, the church has grown, over two billion people, but the Kingdom has not been advanced. If we ever expect to see the inhabitants of this planet in this age have a kingdom of righteousness, we surely see we have much work to do. Jesus said, great works have I done, but greater shall you do in my name, for I go to the Father. He has given us, his body, the power and authority to transform the Nations. And, we shall do it by the gospel of peace, not in the destruction of half the world making them submit with force. That will never work. Since Jesus was our prototype, let us go forth with the love of God teaching all nations. It will be our life long quest. And, in the end, ALL NATIONS SHALL BE SAVED, EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW, AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD.
