THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NOW

SALVATION IS FOR NOW

What if salvation is not for the future after death? What if salvation is for the here and now? Jesus said, repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand. This means it is here and now. Jesus also prayed, thy kingdom come, thy will be done ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN. This is a fulfilled prophecy. The kingdom is here on earth now. Heaven and earth have kissed.

What if Jesus’ message about the kingdom of heaven had nothing to do with the hereafter at all? Multitudes respond to the fear message every Sunday across America and in many parts of the world. “If you don’t repent today, and you die, you will go to Hell and burn in tormenting fire forever and ever.” Now, I ask you, is that really good news? Absolutely not! Jesus’ message was, “Repent, the Kingdom of God is at hand.” The word repent simply means change your mind. Let’s restate it. Change your mind, the Kingdom of God is NOW! How do we know the Kingdom of God is now? Jesus said in Luke 11: 20, but, if I with the finger of God cast out devils, NO DOUBT the KINGDOM OF GOD IS COME UPON YOU. Have you not cast out devils, or haven’t you known someone who has? If so, you must know this, it is evidence that the Kingdom of God is here and now. If that is the case, then why are we waiting to experience the Kingdom of God in some far off planet beyond this universe called Heaven. The main reason for that is really bad interpretation of scripture. And, its been passed down from generation to generation. Not only are teachings about Hell and others about Heaven that most Christians believe a myth, but it is totally unsubstantiated in scripture. Oh, I know there are scriptures in Revelation that tells how big the City of God is, how ornate the temple of God is in heaven, seeing Jesus in all his splendor white and brilliant as the sun and flashing lightning from his being, seeing the 24 elders around the throne, a beautiful river gushing forth with all manner of trees for the healing of the nations, and many other such descriptions. And, that would all be good if it were true, but John wasn’t describing real things. Also, it describes Hell being cast into the Lake of Fire. John was given a vision of spiritual things that could only be understood spiritually. In fact, the whole book of Revelation is a metaphor, symbolic, mystical, and written in parables. The bible bears this out in several places concerning the things Jesus said, and the events that happened to Israel. Concerning Israel, it says, Now, all these things happened unto them for examples; and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 1 Cor. 10:11. The disciples asked Jesus, why do you talk to us in parables? To which he replied, And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God, but unto them that are without all these things are done in parables. Mar. 4:11. And in Luke 8:10, and he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to others in parables, that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. Again in Mat. 13:34, All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables, and without a parable spake he not unto them. A metaphor is something described that intends to mean something else. For instance; water is spirit, the temple is not a real temple, but it is you; the lamb is Christ; the lion is Christ; the antichrist is simply a spirit that is in a lot of people; the four horsemen of the apocalypse are four angels from the four corners of the earth; the apocalypse most believe is destruction is simply the revelation and unveiling of Jesus Christ and not destruction at all; the candlesticks are churches; the stars are angels; and on and on. Everything in Revelation means something else. Folks are looking for a material kingdom whereby they look hither, thither, and yon for some substance that looks like a castle in the sky. But, no one has ever seen or discovered this planet, nor the buildings Jesus is supposed to have been building the last 2000 years or so, and no one has ever seen or discovered this place called Hell or the Lake of Fire. The church has been deluded for far too long and missed the greatest blessing they could ever possess. Why? Because the kingdom can’t be seen. Jesus himself said the kingdom does not come with observation. It is not over here or over there. The Kingdom of God is within you. So, what is the kingdom, better yet let’s find what it is not, then what it is. The kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Let’s expand that. Meat and drink are things. Things could be anything like buildings, money, cars, and material goods of any kind. You can’t see righteousness, peace and joy, but you sure can feel in it in your soul. And, it is apparent to others who observe you, though they can’t see those attributes with their natural eyes.

Did you know you will not need salvation after you are dead and gone. Your spirit will return to God from whence it came, and your body will be resurrected and take on a spiritual body whatever that may appear to be. Celestial me thinks! What keeps us from enjoying salvation now? Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Notice, He did not say you won’t go to heaven. Everybody has some kind of flesh problem, none of which would keep us from eternal life, however, we might not enjoy the Kingdom we live in NOW so much because of the conflict. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Gal 5:19-22. You see those words, “Inherit the Kingdom of God”. Inheriting the kingdom of God is not something we do in the future. Inheriting the kingdom is what we do now. We’ve already determined the Kingdom is within you. So, why are we in pursuit of something we have already attained? Ignorance! Bad Teaching! False Hopes! False Interpretation of Scripture!

Jesus came unto his own and HIS OWN RECEIVED HIM NOT. Why is that? They were looking for a king to sit on a throne ushered in on a grand chariot pulled by six white horses with an angelic heavenly army in tow. Boy, were they surprised. He came meek and lowly in a manger. Even now the saints are looking for him to come riding on a white horse, whisk them out all their problems, and cause them to repose beside a quiet bubbling brook in a green verdant pastoral field with beautiful white sheep lowing and living the life of peace and joy playing our harp with no problems in the world. But, we already have peace and joy! Where? Inside of us. Where is that place Jesus said he was building for us? Why, it is us. We are the house of God. We have this treasure in earthly tabernacles. We have already attainted to that which multitudes are looking for in some future rapture of the church. How do I know? We have already received the mystery that has been with held from the ages, but has been revealed to us by his holy prophets and apostles which is Christ in you, the hope of Glory. The Jews were looking for the Messiah to come in the flesh. He did. And, they missed him even though he was among them. The church is looking for Christ to come again in the flesh, but they have missed him already for he has already come just as he said. He came in the spirit. And, he lives in us. It doesn’t get any better than that. The biggest things to keep us from entering the kingdom is the lifestyle folks live now. Most think if they get saved, that God will make a missionary out of them or they think it will be a dull and dreary life being a Christian, and they will have to listen to dull and dreary sermons every week. They think that there will be too many restraints on their life of sin, too many rules and regulations, and that they would have to start being good. Don’t you see, it is for these reasons that folks miss out on the abundant life in Christ. We are not under the law at all. Nor will your life be subdued because you will miss out on good times. In fact, the good times will just begin. Why? Because, the things that everyone is looking for is peace and joy. You will get these in abundance.

Even if we did get raptured, do you not understand that going to heaven will only be for seven years if you believe what is being taught. Then, we would be whisked right back here on planet Earth to live our remaining life. Seven years is just a blip on God’s time dial. Heaven has come down to earth already. I know it doesn’t look like we are living in the righteous age because of all the sin, but think with me. There are already over 2.2 billion Christians on this planet that have bowed the knee to Jesus Christ. And that number is growing at a rapid pace even at geometric progressions. When we come to the full, the world will have completed the righteous age. We are winning.

The Bible says the dead know not anything. So what’s the point of having salvation after you’re dead and gone back to God? God wants us to enjoy the kingdom of God and the kingdom of heaven here and now. The enemy of that is walking in the lusts of the flesh. That’s why he said the kingdom of God is not over there and it’s not over here, but the kingdom of God is within you.

He wants us to enjoy the kingdom of heaven in this lifetime. Instead, even Christians are living a defeated life because they really don’t work the Word of God in their life. Not only is there sin in their lives, but there is depression, oppression, issues, problems, sickness, disease, heartache, death, misfortunes, divorces, dissatisfaction, strife, and all manner of despair. That is not living the Kingdom of God lifestyle. Most of those come from our very own decisions. Sometimes, we do right things for wrong reasons and sometimes we simply do wrong things. Are we not instructed to cast our burdens upon him? Are we not instructed to rejoice in tribulations? Are we not instructed to live in peace? Are we not instructed to have joy in its fullness? Are we not instructed to lay aside the weight and sin that so easily beset us? Are we not instructed to enter into his rest? It’s all a decision. Yet, for all these instructions and many more, the saints of God live life just like the rest of the world. No wonder they want to get out of here and go to heaven. But, what have they got that we should emulate them? Zero! Nothing! Nada! Not a thing! Their souls are bankrupt. We are the ones who should be showing the world the victorious lifestyle. We are the overcomers. We are children of the King. Our nation is eternal. Our truths are without fault. It has always puzzled me how God can impart everything to us including his holiness, perfection, righteousness, the fruit of the spirit, and the very essence of the life of God itself, and people still want to see him face to face as if it solve all their problems. He can’t give you anymore than what he already is or has. The fullness of God dwells in you. Christ is in you. The Holy Spirit is in you. Heaven is in you. The entire Godhead abides in the fleshly tabernacles made without hands. Can’t you not now see this glorious manifestation in the Sons of God. If we have seen one another, we have seen him. We are the body of Christ.

Salvation is not for the future somewhere, now, tomorrow, one hundred years from now or one thousand years from now. Salvation is for life now, dear brother and sister. The mere definition of salvation is deliverance, safety, rescue, welfare, prosperity, and victory in the old testament. The new testament includes all that, but has one other definition. It means salvation as the present possession of all true Christians. So, why wait to go to Heaven when Heaven can be in you NOW!

I’m praising his name.
